Making a Complaint

If you are having any problems with your bank or building society, the ombudsman can investigate and facilitate conversations between parties.

New Zealand has a Banking Ombudsman scheme, which is an independent service that provides a free disputes resolution service for banking issues.

It can also make formal decisions that support positive outcomes for banking customers.

Other information and guidance on banking matters are available via the quick-guides tab on the website.

Live chat service is also available if needed.
